<p>I have asked several teachers to write recommendations for me and they have agreed. I am currently looking at RPI, CWRU, CMU, and Stanford.
They have asked what kind of information should they include that would be helpful in me getting accepted. They have also asked what if any guidelines should be covered, or will just a general rec do. </p>
<p>Any suggestions, or things I should say to my teachers?</p>

<p>our school made us fill out a brag sheet that we gave to every teacher we wanted to write recommendations. it included:</p>
<p>-jobs we have held
-volunteer work we have done
-honors/ap classes taken
-extracurricular activities
-5 adjectives that describe us
-what we were most proud of accomplishing academically
-what we were most proud of accomplishing personally</p>
<p>just make sure to write a thoughtful thank you letter to each teacher who writes your letters! also, ask for MULTIPLE copies - you will go through a million of them between college and scholarship applications.</p>
