Hey guys, I'm a little confused with all the ratings. When i look for the best national universities there are certain universities like harvard/yale etc. but if i choose best undergrad business program there is a list of absolutely different universities, the question is what is true? i mean if my concentration is business, would universities like harvard/yale etc. be worse than University of Pennsylvania/MIT/Berkley etc.?

They have sub ratings for things like Business Schools. And yes, Wharton is number one in most areas of business, and I believe Stern (NYU) is number two in some.

Well, some of the finest restaurants in the world are in NYC and other big cities. But I love fried green tomatoes, and for fried green tomatoes, you can’t do better than the Blue Willow Inn in Social Circle, GA. So when I’m in NYC and want a big treat I might go to Sardi’s. I know that whatever I order will be wonderful, and if I change my mind while looking at the menu, I won’t regret being there. But if I’m having a serious craving for fried green tomatoes, it’ll have to be the Blue Willow - Sardi’s can’t help me there.

So just how serious is your craving for undergrad business (taking into account that the typical undergraduate student changes majors more than once)?

no, i
m 100% sure of my major, and i’m a little consfused with your post.
i
m a freshman now, and i’m in the process of transferring, so i just wanted to know what are the best business undergrad universities

Harvard/Yale etc don’t HAVE undergraduate business schools. The only Ivy League school with a real undergraduate business school is Penn with its Wharton School.

as a freshman, you will do best somewhere with a good school that hasn’t started yet.
in other words some b-schools like Penn are four year, and its hard to transfer after your freshman year and still graduate in four years.

Here are some options for you:

U Virginia (McIntire): currently ranked by BWeek as #1 u-grad
Emory (Goizueta): very nice two-year program
U Michigan (Ross): three-year, so you might have missed application date

Those are schools I’m very familiar with, as I’m a HS senior picking an u-grad b-school (those three are all options)
