Hello world!
I am a Junior learning about how colleges and achieving degrees work. I know there are bachelors/masters and prerequisite classes but its all confusing to me. I heard that people had to take weird classes that might have not been associated with what they were majoring in such as underwater-basketweaving. I want to major in Computer Science. What classes do I need to take in order to major in that? Also, are the first two years of college more general classes such as english and math? Then do we transition to classes more specific to our major the last two years?
Comp sci is perhaps the most difficult major. Courses include basic intro, data mining, algorithms, computer languages, machine assembler language.
It’s different for all schools. Be more specific. Some schools have you stuck in the same general courses that you would take in a community college for the first two years and then you take classes unique to your major. Some schools let you start taking classes for your major as a freshman. It all depends.
