I plan on taking the ACTs in September and re-taking the SATs in October. I am interested in majoring in Science or Pharmacy or something along those lines. I live in NJ and I'm interested in staying pretty close to home (any close states are fine). I have no idea which colleges would suit me or that I would get into. If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it! :)

I don't have any college suggestions for you, but I'm curious why your SAT's are so darn low? They would make your GPA look like it's highly inflated at your school.

Yeah that's what I'd like to know too... I am not the best test taker apparently. My reasoning is that I am really not that 'naturally' smart, it's just that I work extremely hard to get the grades that I do. It would probably help if I studied more for the SATs, which I should start doing. I am hoping I will do better on the ACTs. No one at my school seems to be doing too great on the SATs... I don't understand it

You look like a student who should be doing really really well on the SAT. You should def. take the ACT. I have heard of people getting 1500s (3secs) on the SAT but get like a 27-29 on the ACT. If not I would look at schools where the SAT is optional.

Yeah should be... my friend goes to the same school as I do and she's number 5 in the class, yet she only got a 1290 herself... and my other friend, number 6, got a 1260. I don't understand because even those scores aren't the best

any other suggestions?

You should be able to get into Rutgers, even if the SATs do not go up. If you want to look out of state, try U Delaware, UMBC, Towson, Goucher, Fordham. You might like Drew, Syracuse, or Alfred.
