College Suggestions?

I already have my reach schools, and I have some match schools in mind, but I would like some suggestions for match schools so I don't miss out on any. Here are my stats:

SAT: 2320 one time, 2350 superscored
GPA: About 3.8-4.0? My schools goes by the 100 point scale and my unweighted average is 93.
Current classes: Compsci preap, Physics C AP, Calc BC AP, English AP, Macro AP, Bio AP, Psych AP
I took 5 aps last year... 4's on stats, env science, physics b... 5's on apush and english
(Am I the only who feels like such a nerd after posting this academic stuff? haha)

National merit commended, ap distinction

Extracurriculars: Leo Club and other community service... I guess 50-200 hours for this year. Orch (9-11 grade), quizbowl ( didn't achieve much though), Bollywood dance club, Math Club, NHS and MUA
I got some awards here and there but nothing major :(
Welch Summer Scholars Program (chemistry research program)

Essays: I have a lot to talk about and bring up, like being from low-income and living with a single parent. But I'm not really good at writing essays... that's the thing...

Race: Chinese

I'm from Texas, looking for out of state match schools... location, weather, doesn't really matter

I want to study either chem/biomed engineering, or bio/chem related. (Going into med field) But I prefer schools with more than one strength... wholesome core education, ya know :)

Thanks in advance!

Could you also tell us which schools you’re already looking at already so we don’t repeat any?

Maybe check out Case Western, University of Chicago, Rice University… etc.

If you’re looking for matches, based on your grades and SAT score, you should consider applying to top 20-top 30 colleges from USNews at the very minimum. Not that I necessarily endorse the USNews rankings, but I think they’d serve as sufficient reference.

Have you taken any SAT Subject tests?

Case Western Reserve and Rice are on my list
I also have Emory, U Wash Seattle, UCB and UCLA, Purdue, Boston U, Carnegie Mellon, U Rochester. I’m just really, really undecided between all these and I must, must narrow this down.

Oh right, SAT Subject Tests:
US History (690) and Math II (760)… taking the Physics I believe but not expecting to get more than a 750

Yeah, I don’t think I know many other colleges lol. Maybe Caltech, MIT, Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering, UWisconsin-Madison?

You could apply to most of them if you’re undecided and pick afterwards XD
Or if you want to narrow them down now, maybe think about what you think is most important for a college, or any preferences you might have, and narrow them down that way.

How come you haven’t taken the bio or chem subject tests?

I’ve currently in my second year of physics so I’m more familiar with the subject. I’m actually struggling to decide whether to take Chem or Physics, because I like chemistry better, though I’ve only taken pre-ap chemistry sophomore year. I would say Physics is challenging, but I haven’t taken Chem in a while…

Maybe you could get an SAT prep book or something and study for the chem test that way?

I ask because it would look somewhat bizarre on your transcript if you’re positive you want to major in bio/chem but you haven’t taken either of the subject tests.

true, i might try that

any more suggestions? bump bump
