Vandy is a merit powerhouse. Many full tuition/rides, perhaps more than anyone. However, you’re not a candidate for merit there.

What would I need to do to become eligible for a scholarship at Vanderbilt? Increase my SAT/ACT and anything else?

Yes FA takes assets into account. FAFSA looks at money in accounts, Profile looks at most assets. They don’t count as heavily as income.

OP, I’m sorry to say you’d be fortunate to get into Vandy with your stats. Believe it or not, this year the cut-off for admission seemed to be 33. Unbelievable. The enormous merit Vandy is giving out is attracting the very best students. I know about Pitt and Vandy this year because my D applied to them and I followed the merit awards closely.

Oh that’s alright. I wasn’t a major fan of Vanderbilt because Austin is a lot more enjoyable than Nashville and my grandma lives about 10 minutes from Vanderbilt and I’m mainly interested in getting away from family not closer to them.
