I understand that the colleges we have visited are not IVY or top tier, but someone still might find these visits helpful. I've tried listing the college in the college visit area, but nothing has come of it. -Now my son has visitied a second college (been there for 6 days staying in the dorms, eating the food and dealing with the students at a business camp) and it too is not listed. Wouldn't it be more helpful to all concerned to be able to comment on any college, even if it's popularity is not way up there? The colleges we have visited to date are University of Idaho and Central Washington University. I just think it would be more more helpful to be able to list all colleges/universities for college visits!

Try posting this in the community and forum issues section. I, too, have tried to post a college not listed. It would be nice to have any college represented.

I feel you pain. Son visited a couple that were highly recommended on CC, but no way to input college visit info.

CC is a great site - but schools west of the mississippi are significantly under-represented in the college visit section... as well as in the colleges section

familyoutdoors, LilyMoon, and missypie, have you filled out the 'Suggest a College Form' at http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/visits/ --> click on "Suggest a College" in the last line of the paragraph before the list of colleges.

If so, was there a response?

I, too, strongly believe that the opportunity to provide college visit reports at the College Visits part of this website is important, and that people should be able to comment on any college/university.

bump . . .

integrity, but that is for the college visits section. How about putting them in the alphabetic list of colleges? I would like to see Roanoke College on that list.

I very much agree. There are colleges that are reviewed that have no forums and colleges that have forums, no posts and no reviews. I think any college where people visit and take the time to do a review should get it's own forum - at least for a year and if there are no posts, then take it down.

I was able to get Roanoke, Champlain College and Kutztown University of PA reviews posted by asking the mods but still can't get a Roanoke forum. It's frustrating to see colleges with no activity represented but not others where regular posters would visit.

I did post my reviews of the colleges right here on the parents board before they were allowed to be added to the review section and then I just cut and pasted them into the reviews when allowed.

I understand that every college cn be listed, but Roanoke, for example, is mentioned in posts fairly regularly. I believe there was a successful campaign (last year?) lobbying to have Hendrix added.

Anyone know the basis for determining which schools get listed?

intergrity - yes, I did fill out the suggest a college form....no response.

It's not as satisfying, but you could post a story about your visit in the college selection forum and then if, in the future, someone is searching collegeconfidential to see what the collective wisdom is regarding the U of Idaho, the information from your visit will appear.

Last week I requested a college be added Cathage College in Wisconsin (which is a US News #15 School in the Mid-West) which we loved anad have not heard anything. It is not in the Loren Pope books and one that offers many varied programs. It was a huge hit for my son and may be his first chice.

Yes, I filled out the form in early June for three schools and didn't hear a word of response.

I requested the U of I back in early May. -No response.
I requested CWU the other day, no response either.

Does anyone know how to contact the moderator, or someone who has a say over what is posted, and ask them to read the comments and offer some information?

I would love for you to post your visit notes in the parent section as I check it frequently for interesting posts, but hardly ever venture to other areas due to postings not being of as high a quality. Would love to hear about U of Idaho!

I posted on our U of I trip. Not one reply as of yet!
