college writing program for R1A...worth it?

Hi, so I'm debating between taking an easier R1A course to fullfill R&C requirement and the college writing program.

I'm a fairly decent writer, but I'm always looking to improve, but I also care about my GPA...

So my question is

1) Do you learn alot in the college writing classes? Or is it just revision, blah blah.
2) For people that have had teachers like Caroline Cole, Michael Larkin, C Hill, how are these professors?

Thanks so much!

What is your intended major? Why are you “always looking to improve” your writing? What are your specific goals?

pre business. yeah, I know, not too much writing there. It’s a personal thing i guess.

I think it would be worth the trouble only if you could identify a particularly outstanding instructor.

Something like Rhetoric 1A might be good too.
