when you compare the collegeboard blue book (official study guide tests) to the actual SAT, what are the differences and what are the similarities? and please don't say because it is from collegeboard, say it from your own personal experience.

I find the blue book pretty similar to the real test. It's made by the same company. There's pretty much nil' difference between them. Though today's test was easier than usual.

Some tests may seem slightly easier or harder, but the 'curves' compensate for this. All tests are the same level with little difference.

Warning: People are going to say that the SAT they took was easier or harder, but this is invalid.

1) Some people have easier times with the topics/vocab/whatever on certain tests.

2) Some people just feel better/worse taking the actual SAT.

3) 'Curves' compensate for slight difficulty changes.

I can also support this with the fact that many CCers, taking the same particular test (same sections, even) will tell you different things about the difficulty in comparison to Blue Book. I tell you, they don't make Blue Book's any easier or harder, there are only very minor differences.

What about Princeton and Kaplan tests, etc.?

I prefer Princeton writing and reading to Kaplan. More comprehensible and leaves you with a better understanding of the methods, IMO.
