Collegeboard Didn't Send My Scores

So I applied to Yale, Princeton, and Stanford through Questbridge. Right after I took my SAT, I registered to send my score reports to these colleges. I thought everything was taken care of, so I left it alone. Last week, I realized that Collegeboard, in fact, hadn't sent in my scores. They don't even have a record of me adding them to the admissions ticket. I called them and the lady there told me that I must have made a mistake, but that's impossible.

I searched this forum and I've found that at least one other person has had the same problem.

Because of this, my scores probably didn't reach the colleges in time for them to make a decision on it. If so, I've been moved to the regular decision group.

What should I do? I want to call Collegeboard and threaten them with SOMETHING! I'm so angry!

Hmm...unless you have proof you actually sent them in on time, probably nothing you can do.

Have them sent ASAP! You may be moved into the RD group anyway, but you have no chance of remaining in the SCEA group with if you do nothing. A lot of people still have missing items in their apps and are sending them in now...there's still hope!

I've already sent them in.

By the way guys, SCEA is different from Questbridge. Questbridge has already been decided, and the results come out on Monday.

i know this won't help but:

Don't worry! Ultimately things will work out for you, they always do! Even if it means waiting a few extra months. Perk up :)

Hey, that person was me - my scores were sent, but didn't register with the guys at Yale. After waiting 2 weeks, the scores appeared, and all was fine. I'd say wait until December 1.

^ uhhhhh did you not see the part where she said questbridge decisions come out on monday?

The exact same thing happened to me, but luckily I figured it out just in time. The Collegeboard is such a bunch of *****ers.

What exactly is Questbridge?

Questbridge is an application process for low-income students.

below 60k income?

OHMYGOD THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME TOO

i thought i was the only one so i screwed up or something.

what is going on?!

If it's happened to this many people, I think we should say something. I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't just decided to check on my app status on a whim. Plus, I had to pay an extra $30 to rush them.

maybe we should!

but how can we prove it?

Sorry about your troubles. I see one way in which you could have thought you added the scores but did not. It has been a while since we have added "send scores" to a registration. More recently it has been all "send scores" independent of the test. Anyhow, as you are selecting the various schools for your list, if at the end you did not do a "save" those selected schools would be lost and not put on the send reports list. We had that happen here. I don't remember which time that schools were being added but I just managed to go online and duplicate the error but of course I was duplicating it in the situation where it was not being added to a registration but as an independent score reporting.

We also had a different problem happen here. We had score reports linked to a test date that my daughter ended up not taking the test. We/I thought these reports would still go out but that they would only have the content of the proceeding tests. We were wrong. They do not go out. Had we not regularly checked the status of the score report requests, we would have assumed that they had gone and 4 schools would not be recieving any scores.

Word of advice to everyone. Check your score report statuses until they have been sent. It is the only way you can be certain they have gone and that your request was even registered. You will also now have the exact processing date for your record. As of Tuesday, we finally confirmed that all the schools have reports coming to them.

One more note, you should have gotten an e-mail confirmation of your update to your admissions ticket. We have each of those e-mails which show exactly what we did and when. Do you have e-mails showing your requests? If so, there is your proof.

I just took a minute to look through the e-mails.

We have the e-mail showing the admission ticket listing "send scores to" which in our case was blank.

Then there is the next e-mail stating you "have successfully changed your score recipients", etc then it listed each of the colleges and their ID numbers and the cost (if any) for the reports. (These are the scores that never went because D did not take the test.)

Then the next e-mail is one stating "Your request to send your SAT scores to the following institutions has been received and is being processed". (This e-mail was after we had to put in a separate score report request)

Same thing happened to me. And as a result my 4 free score report credits also expired and now I have to pay them to send my scores, which they were supposed to have already sent!!!
