Collegeboard Scores Range

Hey all. I was browing through the collegeboard website and they give score ranges of various colleges. My SAT and ACT scores are well in the range that collegeboard gives, but are their ranges accurate? I mean, I've heard some ppl with perfect scores get rejected to top school and I'm like :-000000000000000

my friend, sat scores are just one part of the admission process, this is the first and foremost thing you should understand. Just because your SAT score falls within a range of a certain college, or even higher, does not at ALL mean you are automatically into that college or even have a 'really good chance.' Transcripts, Letters, Essays, ECs, SAT IIs, etc etc are all also admissions factors that may be equally as important in many cases.

well my indian brother, i know that. I'm just asking whether these score ranges are accurate.

oh, yeah I think they are pretty accurate, although it would make more sense to check the actual college's website's 'fast facts' and check their middle 50th range for last years entering freshmen class. Sorry I thought you were a junior and didn't know the whole gist of things, my bad =)
