CollegeMatters

I just got my finalist letter today notifying me that I was close, but not close enough. Heh. Anyone else here get it? Also, what can I really do with this distinction? I was in the top ten out of 5,000+, so does that make this accomplishment, dare I say, resume-worthy? (Sorry, I probably sound like a resume whore, but I'm really curious to know... Especially since my resume is starting from scratch come next Fall...)

You mean when you go to college?

I don't think it's the stuff resumes are made of. From looking at the website, it seems pretty need driven. You probably should be concentrating more on what you've accomplished in HS--your community service, academic extras (Sci Olympiad, AccaDeca, etc) and athletics. If you actually win a scholarship (e.g.Discover-Tribute Jr. year), then you could consider adding it.

Good luck!

I do believe modestmouse is a senior going into college, so I do believe suburbian is right. :)
