I’m sure I want to study abroad when I go to college and have been searching for decent colleges with good study abroad programs. I specifically want to go to South Korea. Any college suggestions. (Just considering these colleges, not just going there for study abroad)
A ton of colleges have study-abroad. Many have study-abroad in Korea as well.
When you’ve shortlisted college you want to apply for, look at their study abroad office website. Is it easy to navigate? Do they list reciprocal exchange programs? Faculty led programs? Summer programs? Affiliate programs? Which is best for you? Do they have a program search that also lists South Korea? Do they have a web page detailing scholarship opportunities?
Since you’re lookkng at South Korea, look at nation ally competitive programs like the Boren Scholarship, the Critical Language Scholarships, and if you’re going to receive a pell Grant, the Gilman Scholarship. A priority for the state department and the US govt (at least under President Obama) was increasing US-East Asian interactions. There are still programs in place to help students study in these locations.
