sarah, is your head alright?

(that's a retorical question, in case you're confused. Stop being a blonde. It's very annoying.)

I get goosebumps every time I check the refferer logs to my blog and see hits from the admin section of college admissions officer blogs. O.o

how do colleges find your myspace? unless you have your real name on there...
i dont know, i dont even have a myspace

well it's happened before, that's all i know lol

I don't see how pointing out that your friend is foolishly rationalizing the fact that he is not good enough = me being blonde.

especially since she isn't blonde, but that's beside the point.

in general, if personally identifiable information is floating around the interweb, somebody's bound to find it.

Didn't I tell you Yoshi, prior to posting on this thread I went out and bleached my hair to account for all the stupid things I say.

you have a problem with taking things literally. Heh, that really strikes me as amusing. Why did i start this thread? To comfirm that Myspace profiles have indeed played a role in some people's apps. You should read more carefully.

I doubt adcoms look at applicants' myspaces.
I do know, however, that some college coaches do when recruting. My english teacher from soph. year apparently searches for her students to see what they have on theirs.

Overall, if you're worried about others seeing it, don't be a blonde, like sweetnsarah of course, and post things that will put you in a bad light.

ok, at my school we do this thing where we have members of adcoms from various top colleges around the world come and do a mock admission thing with us as well as a college fair. and during ours this year, someone on the adcom from colgate told us about a girl who got her admission rescinded because they happened upon her myspace and decided it was distasteful...or something along those lines.

yo whatup people. I want to know how the hell a person can find my myspace account how iz tat possible?

^ it's called the search function (name, email, location)

exactly, and I heard some people got in trouble at Penn for putting alcohol on their sites when the sites said they were only 19.

whoa. Penn gave them trouble for putting alcohol on their personal pages? I'm having a hard time swallowing that, where'd you hear this?

Sounds like bs to me. Penn could care less if you drink provided you drink safely.

This thread just gets funnier and funnier (and by funnier I mean more full of ****)

Then how about you get lost, sarah? This thread doesn't need your **** ok? Thank you.

so where did you hear this?

South Vietnam
