Colleges Cornell takes more students from?

I remember hearing on here and reading on the Cornell website about colleges that Cornell takes more transfer applicants from. Anybody hear anything of the sort? Which schools are they?

Never mind - got it. "Through the generous support of the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, Cornell University has created the Pathway to Success Community College Partnership program with Borough of Manhattan Community College, Morrisville State College, Monroe Community College, Nassau County Community College and Suffolk County Community College to provide prospective transfer students with information, support, and guidance as they explore the transfer admission and financial-aid processes."

What the heck does this mean though? How much of an advantage would going to one of these schools have for you?

it does not sound like any kind of tangible help...perhaps they give you help with the application process, but I doubt that theyy are going to look at any applicant differently because they went to any oone of those afformentioned colleges

My school (california community college) has a "limited" guaranteed admission agreement with Cornell for one or two of their majors in the engineering school. Very surprising.

which Calif Community College are you talking about?

I quoted directly from the website, so I am not sure.

Hold up, California? Where did you get that?

sstory's post before mine

Sstory is probably from foothill college. They have an articulation agreement for civil and environmental engineering. I can't link because i am on my phone, but just google "foothill college cornell" and it is the first result.

Thanks for that. What an interesting agreement!
