<p>I have posted this in transfer section but I know you parents have a lot of advice and I was hoping to get some colleges that a 2.0-2.2 student could transfer into. He is finishing up his community college units.</p>

<p>Where does this student live? In my state, a 2.5 GPA is required to transfer to the state college and university system.</p>
<p>If he is a resident of California, some CSUs will take transfer applicants with 2.0 GPAs. Some others may take transfer applicants with 2.0 GPAs in some majors. The minimum goes up to at least 2.4 GPA for out of state transfer applicants.</p>
<p>For some of our state 4-year publics, an AA degree from an in-state community college is all that is required. Others require a 2.5 or 3.0 GPA. Check the websites of any schools you are interested in; they might be very explicit about what they require of transfer students.</p>
