I have a 3.625 GPA with straight A’s in AP Psychology and Literature. My grades are a downward trend due to mental illness which is why I dropped out.
Columbia’s School of General Studies is a good suggestion. Harvard University by Extension would also be worth exploring.
The schools you are listing are very high pressure environments with most students not suffering from serious health issues (which is what a mental illness really is). I personally would think very hard about whether you are setting yourself up for additional issues by trying to get into a high pressure academic environment. There are literally hundreds of great colleges that can give you an excellent education with lower stress than those you listed.
Also, depending on the issues, college can be reluctant to admit a student with past mental health issues.
My issues will not be stated.
They probably will want to know the circumstances that led you to drop out and get a GED.
Sort of random but UNC-CH actually does NOT accept GEDs
