<p>I can't find the article online, but I was reading a business magazine in the lobby of the dentists office (ugh) that had an article about how the ivies plus Stanford, MIT, and Duke are making hundreds of millions of dollars, while the excellent, but still "second-tier" (when compared to HYMPS at least) schools are in debt.</p>
<p>They mentioned that, in particular, many of the fantastic public universities in the upper midwest are hard-pressed for cash because of fiscal policy: Wisconsin, UMich, and I think Illinois were mentioned.</p>
<p>Particularly shocking was the high faculty turnover rate at Wisconsin due to low pay. Do you think these schools reps will be hurt? Do you think this is a crisis?</p>
