So Colleges can (will?) read your SAT essay if they want.

For the SAT, generally it is acceptable to lie or make up statistics, personal stories, etc.

So my question: If I write something in my essay like, "i was born in Sudan.." or "i was born into a life of poverty and violence.." and the officers read this and from my application it is clear none of this is true, and thus i have lied, will this negatively affect me? Basically, do colleges see it as acceptable to lie in the purposes of the SAT essay or will they look down upon something like this?
