While I'll be heading to college this summer, my brother, a sophomore, will be starting his college search, here are his stats.

3.1 GPA, UW
Few honors Courses

Rank-32%

SAT- 1120 (1600 scale)

ECs- Roller hockey 4years

Whats to do pre-vet and attend a big public school. What should he consider?

Michigan State U

EDIT: He should have no problems getting in, my stats are nearly identical (my sat score is a tad higher) to his and I got in.

university of rhode island

Auburn University...

Which of those are the good ones?

I actually have no idea how getting in out of state compares to in state... but North Carolina State University has a Vet school and a good program for those going into it.

The best vet schools (not necessarily pre-vet)
Cornell
Michihgan State
Ohio State
U Penn
Purdue
Iowa State
Colorado State
UC Davis
U Minnesota
U Missouri

above in no particular order

The best vet school in Japan is Nihon U (learn to care for Snow Monkeys)

Vet schools are all going to be good no matter which one you to b/c there are so few. Would imagine that the more ag-based schools are going to be better at large animal stuff.

Kansas State has a solid vet school (too bad it's in Manhattan)

Oregon State University.

Vet programs are really competitive to get into. If part of that SAT score is not a 700 plus math score, he needs to spend time working to improve that.

Texas A&M University is supposed to have a very good vet school (I think).

uc davis is a good bet...but he should try to raise his SAT and his class ranking.
