Hi everybody! I was wondering if there are colleges/universities that are similar to Yale? When I say this, I am not just referring to ranking or it's participation in the Ivy League. I'm looking at their stress of the humanities, their residential colleges, etc.

Rice has the residential college system. So do UCSD and UCSC in California. Northwestern has a fairly broad residential college system, although Greek life may be more prevalent there (if that matters to you). Not sure about the humanities focus at any of these. And Yale is trying to increase its perceived STEMiness anyway.

Nearly any school in the top 30 will have similarities in humanities/residential college system.

Colleges I know have “Houses” (though most schools have house-systems ie. dorms)
Princeton, Harvard, UChicago, Duke
College that probably have “houses”
All the top 30

Similar “feel to Yale” IMO cause I applied to or almost applied to them (1-5, 5 being most similar)
Swarthmore(2), Columbia(4), UChicago(2), Vassar(3), Wesleyan(4), Oberlin(3). Bard(2), Princeton(4), Harvard(3), UPenn(2), Duke(1), Cornell(1), Brown (3), Darmouth(1), JHU(1), NU(1), WashU(2), Amherst(3), Williams(2), Georgetown(2), Bowdoin(1), Pomona(2), Middlebury(2), Carleton(1)
