EDIT to my previous post but I can’t seem to change my discussion title.
Hi Guys,
I was wondering if you guys know if there are additional college that offer free tuition for families with INCOME less than $100,000. I know so far Stanford and Dartmouth do but those two are really a reach for me. Are there additional colleges out there with this financial aid? Do you guys know a list?
Thanks in advance!
If you are a California resident from a family with income of $80,000 or less, financial aid grants at UCs will generally be at least the systemwide tuition amount, according to http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/paying-for-uc/glossary/blue-and-gold/ .
Otherwise, you just have to run net price calculators at colleges of interest.
How much can you pay each year?
Run the net price calculators on some of the colleges of interest to get an idea of the financial aid available.
Generally the schools with the biggest endowments have the best need based FA (like Harvard). Those are also the most competitive. For merit aid the income is removed from consideration and you have a better chance of getting a large award.
