Colleges with dual degree engineering+business(NEED HELP)

I want to know what other colleges offer an engineering degree(BSc) along with a BBA.

So far, i’ve heard of University Of Michigan engineering with their collaboration with Ross business school
and the Jerome Fisher program between Penn Engineering and Wharton

I’m pretty sure there are more but don’t know where to look

I would like to add that i am also interested in BSc(engineering)+MBA programs like the one at WUSTL which allows you to get an engineering degree + a MBA within 5 years

bumpity bump

What is your post-graduation goal?

There have been some discussions on the engineering major forum section where several posters were skeptical about hiring graduates of such programs to engineering jobs, since they may be signaling that engineering is a stepping stone to management for them, rather than something that they are actually interested in for its own sake.

@ucbalumnus
I guess i want to work for a 2-3 of years, get a masters in engineering(if needed), and then start up my own company

What is your budget? You are an international student, correct?

Check out Lehigh

@carachel2
yup, an international student.
money is no issue for me but it would be cool if i got some type scholarship(but i’m in no pressure to get any type of aid…luckily, my father can afford it)

Look at schools with Engineering Management (or Management Engineering). University of Waterloo in Canada has it. Here’s a list of US universities with programs. The ones with a red B have it for undergraduate. There aren’t many. http://www.findengineeringschools.org/Search/Majors/eng_mgmt.htm

Lehigh IDEAS program. Also check out USouthern Cal.

STEM MBA at University of Alabama
Yale Bachelor of Science in Engineering Science double majors

RPI: has excellent engineering Bsc options + Lally school of management technically-focused MBAs
It also has an Industrial Management Engineering Bsc. (http://ise.rpi.edu/undergraduate)

Bear in mind that any program that is offering a BSc in Engineering + a BA in business probably isn’t giving you enough courses to truly become a engineer. If your goal is management then either do the BSc + MBA (ideal), or IME BSc, or an Eng BSc with minor in business.

I am not sure what you would gain with a dual degree vs an BSE + MBA.

You might be able to do it at University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign, which has a top engineering program. However, I’m not sure why you would want two degrees in very different fields.
