I am going into my junior year, and I am very passionate about Latin and English. I hope to do a double major in both, but I want to go to school with a very, and I mean very, strong Latin department. I also would like to get a scholarship wherever I go. I know that Holy Cross has the largest Classics Department in the country, or at least that is what I heard. They also offer out two full scholarships if the applicant majors in Classics, and I am interested in that. Though, I have not visited it yet, nor have I visited any college surprisingly. I have also heard that Michigan is good. I would like to go to a school that has a decent social life. For example, I know that uchicago has an amazing Classics department, but my two cousins both said that, “Uchicago is where fun goes to die.” One of them goes to Middlebury, and the other goes to Georgetown. Do either of those schools have good classics departments, and do the NESCAC league schools have good classics departments? Or Boston College? Thanks to anyone who could help me with this! I really appreciate it!
Just so you’re aware, the NESCAC schools do not offer Merit aid.
Okay, thank you! I did not know that.

Don’t worry about what your cousins say. Look at UChicago, and any other school you think might have what you want. Forget about the cousins.
