Collegetown carding, nightlife, IDs, etc.

Okay, so I'm going to be a senior next year but unfortunately am super young and won't be 21 until the year after I graduate. Clearly this sucks, and I don't want to be left out while all of my friends hit the (obscenely cool--not--Ithaca) bars. This presents me with several options:

Continue going to frat parties even though they're awful and no senior girls have any self-respect going to one unless they're supporting friends whose house it is.

Procure a fake ID.

Use someone else's.

I doubt there are many Cornellians old/savvy enough who actually read this forum, but if you're out there, what would you suggest? I have a friend who's approximately the same height and weight, we're both Asian, don't look hugely dissimilar (but don't exactly look alike, either)... Will I be able to get away with using hers? (In which case I'd need her to "lose" her over-21 license and apply for a new one, correct?) Which bars are easier on the carding? Do they really require two forms of ID? I keep hearing everywhere that it should be easy since I'm Asian, no one can tell us apart. I'd rather be prudent, though.

Any suggestions? Do most places scan or just give a quick look?

Thanks.
