I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this program? I'm very interested in it and have been talking to the admissions office at CSU about it. I know that it is really difficult to get into (only take 5 applicants) , but I am a senior graduating early from high school with a 4.2 gpa and am also taking classes at a community college, where I have maintained a 4.0. I have volunteered at a veterinary clinic in India and fostered dogs for the Humane Society? I'm sort of economically disadvantaged, and I know that is a big factor. Has anyone looked at this program or applied or gotten in? I'd really like some more info on this. Thanks a lot =)

Wow, only 5 admits per year? That IS competitive. So far, my D has researched mainly vet schools in the mid south & southeast. I would be very interested in hearing about the Colorado program, and I’ll bet others reading this thread would as well. Please share any info you glean from talking with their admissions people.

Congrats on the grades!

I’m in the process of applying for this. I have a 4.0 unweighted, rank 1st out of 650 in my class, 1500 on the SAT, 32 on the ACT, and tons of advanced math and science classes. I’ve been in touch with the director of the program, and he’s been very helpful. It is SO competitive, but I’ve got to give it a shot! :)

I just found out two days ago I made finalist for this program! WOOHOO! Just a few more weeks of waiting now to see if I make the final cut!

Hi! So i hope im not being a nuisance by reopening this, but I had a couple questions on this. So far im only a sophomore, but I’ve wanted to be a vet since I was 7. I have an ehh gpa (3.5/3.6, hoping for a 4.0!) But as a sophomore, Im taking the most difficult courses my school has to offer (including an AP and IB course). Can ACT/ SAT 2 scores bring it up? Also, does this program shave off any time? Does this impact my chances of being accepted into a residency program?
