Can anybody tell me what they know about it, or if anyone has visited?

I know it isn't the greatest academically, but it is not as expensive as Colorado. Supposedly Fort Collins is a nice town. What is the campus like and surrounding areas?

I got my Master degree from Colorado State University. Now, I live in Texas, but I am traveling all over the world for energy business. I have to say that Fort Collins is one of the best college towns you can find. People are, in general, very friendly and easy to talk to. You will do no-wrong to attend this mid-size university.....

I like in Ft. Collins, and it's pretty damn good here. Nice social scene downtown, little crime and great places to hike and bike nearby.

CSU isn't a bad school. In fact, I think it's ranked 2nd in the nation when it comes to veterenary sciences. It's also very good when it comes to biology and agriculture. Its engineering program isn't too shabby either. Otherwise... meh. One of my friends told me their math programs was pretty nice, though.

Biology and Zoology at Colorado State University is excellent. One of the best Life Sciences departments in the nation. One of the few colleges to retain Zoology as a separate department and major. Life as a student at CSU is reportedly a lot of fun outside of class, too.

We visited a few summers ago in connection with a bicycle tour. I was incredibly impressed with Ft. Collins AND the university. I think Ft. Collins is a lower-key Boulder- neat downtown area with lots of shops, restaurants, clubs etc. The price is right. I would take a serious look at it.
