Columbia Apps Up 8% to 21,303

You probably do not even realize that when you applied information was requested prior to the application being down loaded. There is no confusion as to the fact that my sons never applied and yet as of yesterday they received a letter stating that they could no longer process their application because of missing information in their files. I must also include that what Columbia did receive was their College Board scores. This was all prior to their early decision application going out.

Are you serious? I got into Ivies and the top UK universities and yet you claim that I'm not even smart enough to realise that information was requested prior to the application? You know I think I'm just about smart enough to know that I didn't fill out any sort of forms before I applied to CU.

Momma-three... can you just stop trolling Columbia boards? Im sorry if your children werent good enough for Columbia, but that doesnt call for being all bitter and turning into a troll. kthx ;)

truazn, you're like the CU's Zorro, :D. Keep up the good work.

By the way columbia 2002 an open mind is a wonderful thing.

Facts and truths are also a wonderful thing.

Sorry that you are all so closed minded that you can't believe that things like this happen. This sort of nonsence is not as uncommon as you think and personally the only reason I care is because LIES INFURIATE ME. Now all of you have a little respect and try to understand things like this happen but it is people like you that allow it to continue.

Pearfire your post at 8:17 has arrogance all over it. Try a little humility when you get to school and into the world of work. People do not respond well to abrasive young know it alls who know nothing at all.

$91.40 says that Pearfire is smarter than both of your sons. Combined. Though given they go to Cornell, that probably isn't saying much.

Truazn, be respectful. You're attacking actual people here, not rival schools in the abstract. It isn't a good way, as a future Columbia student, to represent the school.

"Pearfire your post at 8:17 has arrogance all over it."

Um... and this comes from someone who claims that I did not even realize that when I "applied information was requested prior to the application being down loaded." I see you're really familiar with arrogance.

"Try a little humility when you get to school and into the world of work."

I'm working for a boutique consultancy and nobody has ever told me that I appear arrogant. Also, this job is usually just for penultimate college kids, but since I'm so arrogant I just have to mention this to you, lol...

"People do not respond well to abrasive young know it alls who know nothing at all."
It's true, they don't. Fortunately, I'm not one of them. "People do not respond well to abrasive know it all" moms either who misuse the terminology all the time and claim absurd things. I think the latter has become more than evident in this thread.

For a moment try to stop being feeling like your school is being attacked-It never was. I am just trying to shed some light on a obvious problem that was apparent by the letters received to my sons.

"For a moment try to stop being feeling like your school is being attacked"

You're right, I'm being attacked not my school. Here's your quote: "Pearfire your post at 8:17 has arrogance all over it. Try a little humility when you get to school and into the world of work. People do not respond well to abrasive young know it alls who know nothing at all."

Btw, I agree that there is a problem with college admissions. I also believe that we're both seeing the same problem. BUT the problem is IMO not caused by your so-called pre-applications.

you two are both acting like 8-year-olds. Nobody else cares - in both cases.

Yea momma-three, I understand what your trying to tell us. However, (assuming what your saying is true), your personal account with your two sons does not give you the right to claim the falsehood of Columbia's statistics. Simply putting it, you don't have any substantial evidence to make such a controversial statement. In addition, in accordance to truazn, I believe there is no pre-application data sheet. As for everyone else, like what columbia2007 said, show some R.E.S.P.E.C.T, especially the newly admited students.
