hugs

You'll get into wonderful colleges. Don't let this rejection pull you down.

Repeat after me: COLUMBIA DOESN'T DESERVE ME. (repeat until you feel better)

Even though I didn't get in...I have stanford next..and the UCs, so, we'll see.

Pray for me. :]

however, my mother is being a B---- about it.
SHe keeps saying how she KNEW it in the first place I wouldn't get in and how upset she is with me"

I think there was an article saying that there was a somewhat strong correlation between praying and heart surgery failures...

Ignore your mother. You never know until you try, and kudos to you for at least trying instead of surrendering even before the fight. If I listened to my dad, all I would be applying to is my state school (which, I think, is not a good fit for me at all - it's too big for my liking).

Good luck with your other applications!

BWAH...hate her. T_T she won't get off my case as I'm trying to do my stanford application.

Sorry to hear about that. As for your Mom...

Wow, how can she be upset with you, the adcom made the decision?!

Tell her to relax, that stressing you out doesn't help with the other schools...she doesn't want you to not go to college, right?

Good Luck.

tell her that you just saved her the agony of paying for that ridiculous ivy league tuition!
