Grades:

School Grades: CBSE(India)
9th grade-Math(9/10), English(9), Hindi(9), Science(8), Social Studies(9)

10th grade-Math(8), Eng(9), Hindi(9), Science(9), SST(9)

11th-Accounts(85%), Business Studies(94%), Math(56%), Econ(72%), English(72%)

12th-Accounts(55%), Business(75%), Math(55%), Econ(68%), English(68%)

Predicteds(for 2014 standardised exams)- Accounts(90-95%), BS(90-95%), Math(95-100%), Econ(90-95%), English(85-90%)

Rank- Top 5% overall(counsellor mentions this in her LoR), Top 5% in everything except Econ(top 10%) and English(top 10%). Econ+Math teacher mention these ranks in their LoRs.

Note: My school deflates grades like crazy(top motivate us to study for the standardised exams). My counsellor hopefully explains this in her LoR, but I've added it in the "Additional Info" section of the common app. Thus the disparity b/w rank and predicteds, and raw scores.
Also, all Indian kids see a fall in grades between 10th and 11th, and colleges understand that.

Standardized:
SAT I: 800 CR 690 M 750 W(2240 Superscored, 3 attempts)
SAT II: ?? M2 and ?? Eng Lit(took them today)-Assume 720 for both to be on the safe side
TOEFL iBT-111/120(horrible, I know) :(

LoRs(Going by the interviews/conversations I've had with them)

Econ-Amazing LoR, says she's acknowledged my drop in performance form 11th to 12th, but explains that there's been an upward trend since then. Reckons I'm amongst the top 10% of the students she's ever taught, mentions this somewhere I think. Talks at great lengths about my love for Econ, reading, and MUN. Also my work as a website designer, classroom participant, and chief editor of her club's newsletter.

Math-Should be good too. Top 5%, explains that I'm good at Quant. Econ., applied math., calculus, stats and arithmetic(That's what she told me in a talk we had anyway). Probably talks about my co-currics at length too. Hopefully. :P

Counsellor-Assures me that it's very strong. Top 5% overall academically, and a lot about my leadership and oratory skills, MUN, and inter-disciplinary interest(physics and politics, besides econ)

Other(for all schools except Columbia, since they don't require one)-From one of India's most famous entrepreneurs, who knows me really really well. I evaluated a business plan for him at age 15, which he says beats his firm's internal research. Also talks about my business research and industrial evaluations since then(a bunch of research projects I did for him and his firm). Should be glowing. GOD I WISH I COULD'VE SENT THIS TO COLUMBIA!!!

Includes 3 Best Delegates, one from the Ivy League MUN 2012(China), organised by UPenn(international award). Trained and managed juniors as well. My school was ranked as one of the top 25 MUNing schools in the world by Best Delegate under my leadership.

e. Research Paper: Wrote one on Private Equity in Emerging Markets. Really proud of it, because this is a topic that people usually pursue at the post-grad. level, but I was really lucky to be exposed to the industry early on, thanks to my parents(corporates) and my internship.

f. Student Govt.: Assistant House captain. Managed hundreds of members, amongst the handful who were in charge of the house. Too lazy to type the rest...

b. Went to a remote village in the foothills of the Himalayas for a week for a rural sensitisation program

Essays

Common App: Still not sure if it's bad or terrible, but probably tending towards the latter :P

Supplements: Really proud of UChicago(LOVE my mantis shrimp answer. I hope they do, too) and Columbia(did my best to research thoroughly before writing, very happy). UMich and UVA are good too. Chapel Hill.....ehhh not so much.
