I know it’s just little more than a month left before ED, and it’s really late asking this question.
Anyway, how is it to apply columbia university ED for math degree?
I personally find other top schools such as MIT, Stanford and etc. too competitive just by looking at my schoolmates, so I decided to ED columbia.
But as the deadline is approaching, I am in great dilemma, sinceI know that Columbia is not really math/science oriented.
So how is math at Columbia?

Hey, I have visited Columbia four times and I love it! I am not a current student at Columbia so I might be wrong but Columbia is really more competitive than MIT considering their acceptance rates. I would do more research on the engineering schools and their requirements and compare all three with each other. As far as I know, if you still like Columbia AFTER all your research (don’t just consider competitiveness) then definitely do apply to Columbia! but don’t just apply ED to a school just because you think it’s less competitive. ED is a lot of commitment so make sure it’s your top choice and you would go to Columbia even if Stanford or MIT accept you RD.
