@LUAL it seems as if you’re an international student, which means an English language test (you chose Doulingo) is a mandatory score you need to submit. Consequently, your application may not be reviewed without it. I’d recommend to refrain from telling the admissions office that you don’t have time to take this mandatory test right now. Maybe try your best to make the time to take it!
@ Everyone that was admitted already: how long did it take after submitting the planned enrollment form until you received financial aid details?
Tomorrow will be another day of admissions, I hope to see many acceptance posts ?
I heard if you submit your application after May 1, you will get a decision by July 15.
I’m not pessimistic, but as the GS Columbia’ site, the admission results must be released by May 1st, so it might not release any decisions for early action applicants tomorrow. I was waiting for this afternoon and got off from my job to be at home when decision released.
Quick question. Is it a good idea to mail my midterm report to the admission office? They have pretty good comments and grades, so I want them to be considered.
@SMSNYAL I’ve asked that question to the admissions officers before and they said to send them only if they ask for them. If they need them, they’ll let you know like they did to me today.
@qwer88659901 I agree. When I called the office a couple of days ago, the lady told me that they’d try their best to get the decisions emailed/mailed out by May 1 but it’s not definite meaning it could take longer for some people.
@LUAL They need all documents requested in order to make an informed admissions decision. They can definitely make a decision with unofficial documents such as transcripts. However, before enrolling, you will need to have sent the official documents. Keep in mind, they can rescind any acceptance if the official documents do not reflect the unofficial documents or anything you gave them since they made their decision based on those unofficial documents. Also, giving even unofficial documents such as this semester’s transcripts even if there are no grades posted for your classes is extremely important because you will only be able to transfer credits on documents you turned in at the time you submit your application.
@ambitiouslicious Thaks for the information!

@Tulips21 Congratulations!! That’s great! Did you apply by March 1st and just hear back right now?
Thank you!! I applied Feb. 26th & got accepted April 18th
Are rejections also sent out by May1st, or does not getting any email/mail mean a rejection?
My question is exactly the same and I tried to find the answer via 2018 and 2017 thread, but I couldn’t
If I completed my application on 04/05/2019, when should I expect to hear back? Does any one have a rough estimate ?
I did hear that Columbia College sends out notifications even if it’s a rejection, so I am guessing we should get one by today. If not, call the office tomorrow and ask about the status.
There will be an update posted on your portal once a decision will be made. Then you will see whether it’s an acceptance or rejection
So there is a possibility that even though I applied by March 1, the release date could be after today?
Just got a call saying I have an interview So hopefully that’s a good sign!
I just talked to them, they said they are trying to get the rest of admissions out today, but it could be later.
@Advxntageous later today?
