Is there any aid for international students at Columbia GS? I was recently admitted as an undergraduate for fall 2017 and I’m wondering, what’s the maximum aid an international can get at GS in subsequent years after freshmen? :-S
Columbia GS does not have the same financial aid policies as those at Columbia College and Fu.
The school does not meet 100% demonstrated need. As an international student you are not eligible for any federal or state aid. Any funding that you receive will have to come for Columbia.
Did you receive a package from them? How much additional money will you need?
I haven’t received any package yet, have you? I have only recently submitted my planned enrolment form. btw, any idea how much aid do they provide to internationals if it comes from GS directly? Also, is it somehow related to how we perform in the first year at GS?
Very likely the answer to how much will be -0-. And no, your performance as a student doesn’t impact aid at Columbia.
You need to discuss your concerns directly with the admissions and/or financial aid office.
GS does NOT promise to meet need of any of its students. Unless and until you hear otherwise directly from the school, you need to assume that you will be full pay for your entire time at Columbia.
