Columbia has made life awesome.

I remember, back in August 2010, when applying to colleges seemed like the end of the world. It was a difficult time, because my school traditionally sends a large handful of students to high selective schools where they eventually go on to be relatively successful in their respective fields.

I used to wonder how things would all turn out for me. I envisioned countless parallel universes that could exist - each one different depending on which college I attended. Going to college became the focus of my first semester of senior year.

Paying your deposit and knowing you're going to a certain school gives you a certain piece of mine, because something is set and determined and decided in your life. You are free to pursue other academic and extracurricular pursuits, and you are free to be as creative and imaginative or boring or passive as you like.

There was a dark storm hanging over me and Columbia blew it over. Sunny skies are all I see. It will be a difficult 4 years, but I will never regret them and I am excited at the prospect.

To anyone applying for the Class of 2015, at any university, I wish you all the absolute and very best of luck.

Go Lions ;D

I had a dream that the tc of the first topic I saw was given his acceptance letter by mistake

Owch.

Though…

Life is still good =D

don’t you mean class of 2016?

^ lol yeah

haha although I would say if you applied ED, it only gave you roughly half a year of free time to do whatever the hell you want, and for RD, not even that. But interesting take on it :D

That’s how I feel about columbia…the day I got my acceptance letter I thought unicorns became real.

^ but they are real…
