Hi guys,
I’m currently a junior in high school and Columbia is my dream school and I’m planning on applying ED to Columbia this year.
I’d love to get some advice from people who’ve been accepted to or gotten likely letters from Columbia and help and support me throughout the application process.
Our daughter was accepted ED, class of 2024. The most helpful advice is to be authentic, work hard, and just be YOU. We did not pay for a college advisor (even though we have the means to, and it is very popular), she wrote her own essays (for the good or the bad), took her SAT several times (1480), got strong recommendations that were very personable, packed her schedule with AP classes only bc she can handle them with little stress and enjoys them, and let life happen. After the application was in, no news from Columbia, no interview, nothing. We believed in the process and were willing to embrace any decision. You will fall were you should if you are honest and celebrate who you are!
Thanks, cause well I’m almost a senior now and theres not much I can do or change who I am so I’m just going for Columbia ED cause if I dont I’ll regret it.
