<p>I'd like to reiterate the point that being politically neutral is not a handicap at columbia at all. The portion of the student population who are raving activists of any stripe is about 10%. You'll have friends in that category, and you can make a social scene out of that category, but in the long run it doesn't matter whether you're an activist or not if you're looking for a social scene.</p>
<p>I love ragging on Columbia for fun, but this is probably the one serious complaint I could have about them.</p>
