Columbia MA in Biotechnology

Got into MA in biotechnology at Columbia university.
Its a one year program with thesis.
i also got into masters in biotechnology program at Northwestern and Upenn.
which to choose?
Does NYC give u an advantage while searching for jobs?

Go to Penn. Both Penn and NU’s programs are in the respective engineering schools - Penn School of Engineering and Applied Science and NU McCormick School of Engineering. NU awards an M.S. degree and Penn gives a Master of Biotechnology. These would both be better than an arts and sciences M.A. from CU’s G.S.A.S. Indeed, Penn requires 6 of 11 courses be in taken in S.E.A.S. Penn has the best medical school and Biomedical engineering programs of the three. There are three hospitals adjacent to or on the Penn campus. NU and CU have medical schools and hospitals on separate campuses.

An MA will NOT take one year to complete at CU especially with a thesis. The two residence units required for an M.A. can be completed in one year. Then additional courses are billed as Extended Residence. Count on two years for an M.A. with thesis. NYC is no advantage over Philadelphia for employment as drug companies are located in New Jersey.
