i applied ed to cc, and realized i don't know how columbia plans to inform us about their decision. i saw that they said they will mail us on the 15th about their decision, but online, do they e-mail us or do we log on to our columbia application site, where they may post the result?

and, like many other people, does anyone know if this upcoming week (that of the 7th) will be when we hear from them?

I think the easiest way to find out is to check it online, in their online tracking system.
They will also send us emails, as well as regualr mails.

Congratulations to all the people that have already be admitted by Columbia!Wish all other ED applicants could hear your Congratulation letter soon.Best wishes to all the people in this board.

I'm at the point where I dream about Columbia,
and I thought maybe It's like the more I think/worry/freak out about it, the more chance I get. If you know what I mean.
But then again, that will be all of us.

It's December 2, and I have so many other essays to write
but I can't seem to leave this website.

It's simply ridiculous.

I really really wish the best luck for all of us..<3

The title of this thread makes me excited and nauseous at the same time... And it maddens me that we STILL don't know the exact date of decision release. The upcoming week is going to be hell...

in addition to college essays i have to write, i ALSO have SO MUCH homework this week (because this is my last actual week of school before finals, so teachers are on a power-trip.. or just trying to cram in last minute work they forgot to cover). this week is going to be absolute hell.

for example, tomorrow i have to read an entire play and answer questions, work on a problem set for chem, lab report for chem, a worksheet for calc, finish a play for english..and then i have tons of tests this week and i'm choreographing dances for a pep rally on thursday, have soccer practice, student council, and GAH this might be the week we find out :'(

I KNOW! a possible admissions decision + tons o' homework + extra college crap for places we don't really want to go.
lmao i really should get dressed and go eat pancakes, but i'd rather hang around here. no one else i know is applying ED to columbia except my friend at our competing high school, and she's confident she'll get in. as she probably will, but her advice to me was "you'll get in don't worry." worst advice ever.

I don't know if it's mentioned anywhere on this thread because I didn't read all. I am a parent and this is speaking from last year's experience. Last year, email notification came out on the 8th. On the 7th CU sent out acceptance letters overnight. What it means is that if you know the service they are using (FEDEx, DHL or UPS) you could call and find out if you are getting a package next day. Two years ago, it was FedEx, and last year they used DHL. They had a picture taken of DHL truck in front of the admission office having packages loaded up to the truck. But they will not tell you which service they are using before hand.
