Read that article.

BUT. That only worked two years ago. Last year they mailed it out on the same day they sent the emails. In fact, they only mailed it out that same afternoon so you'll 99% get your email first before you can get the info through DHL/FedEx or w.e. Don't use gmail to open it if you dont wanna spoil the surprise (it gives a previe of the first line).

Neways, this is the acceptance email in case you're wondering:

"Dear xxxxxx,

Congratulations! The Committee on Admissions joins me in the most rewarding part of this job — informing you that you have been selected for admission to Columbia University in the City of New York.
P.S. Please note that an official admissions packet was mailed today."

Oh.. :/
I wish I get that mail.. But I'm starting to lose hope...

haha thats a good point about gmail. I just changed my preferences to ignore "snippets"

AHH omgdness im getting so anxious.
I agree with sujinhan. I have tons of tests to study for, not to mention other college essays to write, but I cant help checking back on this site every 2 minutes.
Quite sad, really

What's a flame? And what is the point of someone doing that?

baha i was reading that letter hoping it's what i get to see... :(

^Me too! Except now when I get the email I'll freak out for like an hour before I read it....

I'm trying to decide whether to read the e-mail first or what. Knowing my impulsiveness, I just might.

i am freaking out too

I'll probably end up screaming for a good 20 minutes before opening the email.

So is anyone else gonna try and call UPS/USPS/FedEx?? I'm really tempted to start calling Thursday night but that would be awfully depressing to find out i'm rejected by FedEx.

What if the FedEx guys get so annoyed and start playing tricks on you..?
saying you're getting a big package when ur not, and saying that there is nothing when there is....

I think I'll just wait for the e-mail.
But oh boy, my fingers are gonna shake....

Supposedly, this Thursday?
Great, I won't be home until 8pm.

AHHHHHHH

CAN WE GROUP HUG ?

I will leave for a national performance thursday......Since I don't have a laptop,,I might not read my email on time....Now, I am sitting all day in front of my computer without praticing piano.......I doubt if I can focus on playing Thursday..

I thought about calling admission office to ask for my ED result in advance,,but I believe they will say:Our Ed result will come out until Dec 15th..they will not tell me anything about my result.

Of course, I know they just want to be fair to every applicant,so I decide not to call them..I can not use my national performance as an excuse to ask for some unfair benefits..It is wrong

Anyway, I will sit before my computer If I have time until the time I leave..I hope everyone can get the congratulations email from Columbia soon

ahhh! nervous..i have a widget counting down the hours already
i too have something to do that night..some poetry thing
!!!!

sujinhan, yes lets grouphug T_T

Last year, packages were loaded up the night before to DHL, most kids on the east coast received their package on the 8th and kids on the west coast received theirs the following Mon. Some kids had fun tracking their letter after they have received their acceptance email. My daughter was not one of the lucky ones, but I did know how many packages were coming to our zip code from CU the night before emails went out. DHL operators were very friendly and helpful.

haha STALKERS!!!
jk.
maybe.

Oh my God...Thursday?!?

Ah T-T.

I agree with Sujinhan and ioremi. We need a group hug.
