Good morning,
Columbia University has just announced that they are extending their test optional policy for one year, meaning that current HS juniors applying in the 2021/22 application cycle will not be required to submit any standardized test scores. They are not going test blind, so those who’ve been able to take a test and are happy with their scores can submit away.
Yesterday it was Cornell (which I discovered right here on college confidential - thank you!) today Columbia — woo hoo! Such a relief for DD, since we live in Cali and short of an extensive road trip or plane ride (both strong “no’s”) it’s just not happening.
I’m thankful they’re putting health and safety (and reality!) first. Bets on who’s next to make the call?
Cheers
