<p>Transferring to Columbia is very difficult. They have a very low transfer rate, I believe it’s around 6%. </p>
<p>A 3.8 from a well respected University sounds pretty good for first semester, thought know what university might help because you could say any school in the USNews top 100 is well respected in some way, but a 3.8 at Harvard is probably more difficult than a 3.8 at American University (no disrespect to American, my friend goes there).</p>
<p>Also, as a freshman transfer, your high school record is also important. You might want to share that for a better evaluation.</p>
