I'm worried that my essay was overly abstract and postmodern for the admissions office. I hope they don't find it too opaque...
hmmmrmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmrm

yeah maybe they're too busy answering our phone calls to make up their minds about who to actually let in :P

im worried theyre going to find the 2 mistakes in my essay and completely discard my app!

Dude PKAT44 they'll overlook 2 little errors in your essay, you need to chillax.

And when spazzity is telling you to chillax, you know you need to chillax.

...spazzity is now speaking in the third person.

...spazzity REALLY WANTS TO FIND OUT!! BOTH THE DATE AND THE DECISION!!!

PKAT44.. you arent the only one who made mistakes in your essay. i did too. and i noticed hem when i was proofreading my application AFTER i sent it in.
so yeah. unless it was a major error (which it probably wasnt), i don't think that it would be that big of a deal.
and haha. spazzity... is being a little spazzy right now.

i think everyone is just nervous and worried.. but then this does determine where we will get our college education..

and our future!

ok, i know i know that where you went to college is only important for your first job... yadda yadda. but still

Cornell EDers are getting their decisions the 11th also, so I guess it would make sense for it to be the same for Columbia...but somehow, I doubt it. I really thought we would know by now!

When people ask me, "When are you going to know?" it's getting tiring to have to respond, "I don't know, we haven't been notified yet." UGH.

But prospective Cornellians were notified WEEKS ago.

We STILL don't know when we're finding out >_>

Yeah my dad asks me EVERY DAY, "have you heard from Columbia yet?" even though I tell him EVERY DAY that I don't know when I'm hearing, but I will be sure that he'll be the first one to know when I find out when the notification date.

yeah.
but Duke posted about.. 2 days ago, that their EDers are going to find out on the 11th too.
and I think Yale and Brown announced yesterday that the decision will be announced the 11th also.

maybe Columbia is having some.. technical difficulties...?

how about we just change our focus of discussion to just getting the actual decision rather than the email that will tell us when we will get the email of the actual decision?

Duuuude. Yale, Brown, AND Cornell are all finding out the 11th? We had BETTER find out by the 13th, then.

it's actually sorta good that we're still worrying about the notification email because it takes our attention away from the actual acceptance/rejection email. its probably keeping us all from getting huge ulcers that eat our whole stomach lining away and then slowly start working on the walls of the stomach, then after it has completely destroyed our stomach it moves on to the other organs, eating away at them until it comes to the point that when we eat food, it falls right through our body and out of our butts, completely undigested.

so thanks columbia for looking out for our well-being and our digestive system!!!

you're so optimistic, zeke :P

LoL zeke72791. That would be an NOM EPICFAIL.

i am dying at zeke's comment

Nope! We (us Cornell EDers) only knew for certain last week. We heard from "Uncle Ezra" (sort of like Cornell's Dear Abby) that it was going to be the 11th maybe a week or two ago, but we weren't completely certain until Cornell posted on their site just a handful of days ago that it was going to be the 11th.
Good luck from the Cornell board!

Applied to Yale...we find out the 15th, not the 11th.

Um, hey from the Yale board everyone! As far as I know, Yale comes out the 15th. I would not complain about the 11th though.

Who else is going to stalk the Cornell/Brown/UPenn boards when their results are coming in ha? I'll be living vicariously through them.

Notification date hasn't been announced by Dartmouth either.
