How is good is Columbia for investment banking (compared to Wharton, compared to HYP, compared to NYU, etc.)?

Columbia is one of my top choices and I just want to get a feel for what kind of rep it has with Wall Street.

Also, importantly, what kind of difference would there be if I were to go to its engineering school instead of its school of general studies?

Many ibanking recruiters come to Columbia, although its not level with HYP and Wharton. Not sure about Stern.

At Columbia, I dont think it would make that big of a difference. Id suggest Engineering, as it would give you more options.

I’ve actually seen more Stern kids on the Street than Columbia. Engineering would be good if you want to go the more quant/trading path.
