Columbia vs Barnard

Hello I have a question
If i am enrolled in Barnard, is it possible to take courses at Columbia? I want to major in Business which is only offered at Columbia but if i am a Barnard student would i be able to major in business?

Yes, you will be able to take most courses offered at Columbia.

As an undergrad at Columbia or Barnard, majors dont matter in any significant way that you think they do. Many businesses that recruit students from Columbia/Barnard dont have a specific major requirement ( however there is a minority that give some weight towards Economics majors ) .Everything else can be acquired through electives, and internships. If your desire is business, you can always major in something else while taking business related courses. At the end of the day, businesses desire candidates that know how to write well, have high quantitative ability, and can communicate intelligently. Everything else that you really need to learn will be at the firm you work for or graduate school.

There is no business major at either school. At Columbia there is a business concentration, but it is not a full major.
