Ok, very confused. I want to attend Columbia and apply early decision, but do they have an undergraduate business program? My major is business management and fashion merchandising. Under their "programs of study" list, they do not have business. Does this mean anyone that goes to Columbia College can not major in business? Can undergrads take courses through its existing business school? Help!

Columbia does not have an undergraduate business program. Undergrads cannot take classes at the business school.

I heard that Columbia has a "Mind Your Own Business" major though ;)

The closest thing Columbia has to business is IEOR (industrial engineering and operations research) in the engineering school.

wait... so columbia doesn't have a business school?

It does, but it's for graduate students only.

So is UPenn the only Ivy that offers Business Management?

Pretty much. Is that a problem?

I was just wondering. I know that there are plenty of undergrads at Columbia College going into business school and they do a good job preparing them for it.

Yep. There's really no need for teenagers to commit themselves so early to something professional like business school.

Cornell AEM is also an undergrad business program

"I know that there are plenty of undergrads at Columbia College going into business school and they do a good job preparing them for it."

Business schools rarely take people straight out of undergrad since they require at least a couple years of work experience. I've never met anyone at Columbia who was actually attempting to go to business school right after he/she graduated. Plenty have it in mind as something to do after working for a few years, however.
