I am now a sophomore Econ-Math joint major at Emory University. I am going to graduate a year early and do a 3+2 mechE program at either Columbia or Georgia Tech.

My goal is get an engineering job in the automotive industry (please don’t try to talk me out of it, I love cars too much), get a top MBA, and climb into senior management. Keeping cost, location, social life, etc. constant, how do Georgia Tech and Columbia compare in terms of:

Job placement, particularly in the automotive field?

MechE academics?

GPA destruction? (I will have completed the first 2 years of curriculum at Emory already, though)

MBA admissions? (probably depends mostly on question #3!)

Thanks!
