How do I differentiate between these schools?

I feel comfortable in any environment (urban or rural, large or small).

How is the core for premeds at Columbia?
How does the quarter system affect the pace for premeds at Dartmouth?

It seems they all have research opportunities, though I don't know where I'd best thrive.

Any advice, veteran premeds?

Also, apparently at Columbia you compete with postbac (General Studies) students who have lighter courseloads. I imagine this would only serve to stress traditional undergrads. How exactly are undergrad premeds affected?

Its really not going to make a huge difference, they are all good schools. You should really go to the environment you like most.

I recall reading that you transferred from Columbia to Dartmouth.
What was the reason, specifically (I remember you writing something about social life).
In my opinion, Dartmouth seemed too fraternity-centric.

On the other hand, Columbia seems a bit lonelier. Though, I think I would prefer this to Dartmouth’s drinking culture.

Do these stereotypes have any weight in real life? Are they exaggerated?

I don’t really know much about Penn’s social life but I know they are more frat-centric than Columbia, though less so than Dartmouth.
