Just wondering, which one of these schools is best for pre-med? Im trying to decide where to apply early to, and Ill prolly do EA to Uchicago, but I cant decide between Columbia and UPenn for ED.
Any advice?

What percentage of premed students at these universities get into med schools?

General stats:
2300 SAT, 800 math II, 760 Bio M
Rank 1
Math and Science awards
Tennis, violin, Red Cross, NHS, SNHS
couple hundred hours of volunteering

Upenn since it has a higher acceptance rate

^ What is your source of information for medical school admission rates?
To support a meaningful, apples to apples comparison, it should show acceptance rates for various combinations of MCAT scores and GPA, mapped from each college to each target med school. Do med schools admit a higher percentage of Penn students than Chicago or Columbia students with identical stats? Where is the data that shows this?

Med school acceptances are not based on the undergraduate university. Your GPA and MCAT matter the most, along essays, interviews and extra curricular activities helping. Go to whichever you prefer most.

That said, I would consider attending a cheaper university since it really does not matter much where you go for pre med.

Everyone starts out premed. Go with the college you like the best since chances are, you’ll end up switching out.

@whenhen, no I wont be switching out of premed if thats what you mean, because I have completely decided to become a doctor.
