Column written by Princeton student censored by school newspaper

This column has been circulating around Princeton's campus and presents a criticism of Princeton's social climate. It is a bit pessimistic but I think somewhat true in general.

<a href="http://jessieye.wordpress.com/2011/12/06/princetonbrats/%5B/url%5D">http://jessieye.wordpress.com/2011/12/06/princetonbrats/</a></p>

The article could have been written about Harvard, or any other elite school. There will always be rude, self-absorbed brats who have believe their family money, their address, or their looks give them the right to behave terribly. College is their last chance to self-indulge before reality slaps them in their pouty mugs.

Two threads with the same title?

I don’t have any connection to Princeton or any strong feelings about this blog post one way or the other, but really think the title of this thread is carelessly worded at best, misleading at worst. The Daily Princetonian isn’t the “school newspaper”; it’s independent of the university. And I think there’s an important difference between censorship and declining to print somebody’s column.

^ Agreed. You first posted this twice on 07-Dec and got lots of replies on the Parents forum, zero on the college selection forum. Now you want to push it up again. Obviously you want to make your point known

Like Sikorsky and others said – what’s the big deal? And where’s the censorship. Even if it’s a controversial topic, it’s not getting published does not equate to censorship.
