I have searched this forum and could not find anything on this subject?
Does anyone know of any BS/MD programs that do not require an interview?
Just Wondering, Thanks.

PLME at Brown University. Very prestigious. 8 year program with no MCAT required.

SLU’s program and PLME, mentioned above. That’s about it.

Interview is the best and easiest part of whole process and the one that is much more under your control where you can shine.

USF doesn’t have an interview for their program

just wondering… are these bs/md 7 year programs binding? or can you be accepted and then choose to go to another school. for example if i applied to the rutgers/umdnj 7 year program but then got accepted to an ivy school and chose to enroll there.

personally, I’d go to the program instead the Ivy league. lol

no mcat no application no nothing

Uh, of course not. If you got into the Ivy, the Ivy isn’t binding (unless you did ED) so why would you assume getting into a BS/MD program is binding?

That’s not true. Many programs still require you to take the MCAT, and others also require you to fill out their AMCAS application, write essays, and even submit recommendations. I know UMiami required those in their program to take the MCAT and fill out an application along with recommendations. Most programs still require the AMCAS to be filled out by BS/MD students although the process is a complete joke compared to applicants who are really applying.

Agree with MiamiDAP.

Green - Reg the 7 yr programs being binding - Some are and some are not. TCNJ-UMDNJ or Rutgers-UMDNJ 7 yr program are binding. If you apply out, you loose your secured spot. So, let’s say come junior year, you have a 3.9 GPA and 38-39 MCAT score, you may apply to Ivys but you will loose your NJMS spot and you will be added to the “traditional” pool of applicants.

I have heard that Miami Univ of Ohio - is not binding, right MiamiDAP?

By the way, the PLME program is extremely difficult. If your SATs are not >= 2300, consider it a Hail Mary shot.

Does UMiami HPM has a binding? When do they give you BS degree? After 3 yrs? If so can you easily apply out to IVYs if you got high MCAT score?

the program is binding once you accept. till then you’re free to choose anything you want
